- Engourage contributions by (e.g. sharing results in an Open Source way)
- Provide a no-cost Multilingual Project Hosting Platform

- reduce installation, configuration, administration and maintenance efforts.
The product is implemented based on requirements which were specified during usage and/or evaluation of collaboration system (sourceforge, eclipse project) and project organization schemes (e.g. the eclipse and netbeans project organization).

- integrate the subsystems whilst keeping them unaltered
- modify the subsystems when necessary
- extend the subsystems when necessary
- synchronize efforts with the producing Open Source Projects.
- contributes most of the code back to the original project (normally using the original license)
This makes development more difficult, but pays out on a longer term.
If this is practically not applicable (e.g. due to missing organization or agility of the target project), the functionality is implemented as an add-on, using the Project License.
