Core Project - Live Evaluations
(task: live evaluations are essentially "Audits", naturally applied publically. Move to the audit sections within the cases)
Intro
This section describes several live evaluations which happened mostly within usenet and open-source-project forums (2001 till the end of 2005).
Important to Realize
Usenet (and online communities in general) can be a very hostile place. There are several methods to survive within this environment, like e.g. a defensive and modest writing style. This can of course raise negative emotions.
The real-time unfiltered (e.g. fact-oriented) public announcements of findings to the identified responsible's lead to several reactions of the System Participants (programmers, leaders, sales, ...). The reactions were fed back to the Analysis (to evaluate the participants individually, as sub-groups and as a whole).
A reader should not focus on reactions of individuals, but the reactions of the group as a whole (e.g. how does the group react on unethical or illegal actions of an individual) and on the reaction of the leadership.

Quotes
"If you are Ilias Lazaridis, then you have changed us all in one way or another. Perhaps you merely made us click a few trashcans, but maybe you helped us to hate everything. Who knows the effects that will cascade through the generations?" - WhyTheLuckyStiff - ruby
"But virtually everyone except us (me and you, Ilias) seem to have the other model in mind." - Mr. Yukihiro Matsumoto (Matz), Ruby Language Designer (source usenet)
