Schevo Rework

Jan. 2006 to Apr. 2006.

In exchange for reduced rates,  Orbtech LLC. has provided Lazaridis System Design the possibility to apply their Services to the  Schevo Open Source Project and to create a reference work for demonstration purposes.

Important Note

Due to the nature of this cooperation (Verification and Refinement of Services which are in a beta state), the working results can be used only partly as a reference for the Provided Services.

Find below the description of the Tasks and the several phases.

(The documentation is not yet completed. Find some more information within the  Case Project)

Further Tasks

This Section contains tasks fulfilled after the initial cooperation.

Negotiation

This section describes the initial negotiation phase with the Customer.

Goals

Based on interviews, the Customer defined the Schevo Goals (which should be valid for nearly any Open Source Project).

As a next step, the main Schevo Rework Goals were defined. Again, those Goals can be used generally for Open Source Projects which like to produce competitive Products.

Processing Requirements

The Processing followed the beta version of the method, as defined on the website.

The Processing Requirements of the executing Analyst were defined after 2 weeks (mainly affecting Independency).

Publicity / Scope

Although Schevo is an Open Source Project, not all of the communication happened in public.

Several topics subjecting the Customer and his Company were discussed within private conversation and will of course not be published.

Decision Resources

The following resources have assisted the customer to take the decision:

  • The  Active State Sample served as a basic sample of the work.
  • The beta documentation of the Services and the Method used (as published on the website).
  • After 2 weeks, the Processing Requirements of the executing analyst were clarified within a  Quick Profile.
  • Based on this, the customer has decided to extend for the full period.
